According to the Population Register, as of 01.09.2018, there were 451 209 people living in Tallinn, in August the number of Tallinn residents increased by 379 people (0,08%). Since the beginning of this year the population of the Estonian capital has grown by 2445 people (0,54%). Over the past year, the number of residents of Tallinn has grown by 5141 people (1,16%). At the beginning of May this year, the number of Tallinn residents crossed the line of 450 000. The turnout of 400 000 Tallinn residents was overcomed by 01.09.2004. The number of people who live in Tallinn has increased by more than 70 000 people in 16 years.
