Merko supplied the corner stone of the largest residential area in the center of Tallinn

06.11.2018 Merko placed the corner stone of his largest apartment development project in the coming years – the residential quarter Uus-Veerenni. The first tenants will move to new homes at the end of 2019.

In addition to the partners who contributed to the project, the neighbors of the Uus-Veerenni development zone and the future residents of the new residential quarter, the corner stone was firmly established by the Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Andrei Novikov and the Elder of Kesklinn Vladimir Svet.

Board member of the Merko Ehitus Eesti AS Jaan Mäe expressed in his speech the joy that the Uus-Veerenni project started very well: “The best team represenred by both Merko and architects, landscape architects and all our other partners on development and construction contribute to the creation of a new living environment”.

The architects of the residential quarter Uus-Veerenni – Tõnis Tarbe and Johann-Axel Tarbe, the solution of landscape architecture was created by Karin Bachmann and Mirko Traks. Building and infrastructure construction is carried out and directed by the Merko Ehitus Eesti AS.

Uus-Veerenni is the largest integrated residential development area in the center of Tallinn. It will be located in the Veerenni area, near the Baltika and Lutheri quarters, between Veerenni, Vana-Lõuna and Tehnika streets.

The total amount of the Uus-Veerenni development project will rise in the next 10-15 years – it is about 50 new apartment buildings around which an open urban space will be built.

At the 1st stage of construction of the development zone from the side of Veerenni street, 12 residential buildings will rise in the amount of 137 apartments and 8 commercial premises. There will be ready 6 3-floor urban villas with a 2-pitched roof, 2 4-floor and 4 6-floor apartment buildings along with the surrounding living environment.

In the quarter, new Pille and Tiiu streets will be built, and a park-like living environment, landscaped courtyards and an open urban space will appear between the buildings. On the 1st floors of apartment buildings local offices and small businesses will find space. At the later stage of development, a kindergarten will be ready, and the construction of one commercial building is also planned.

In the buildings of the 1st stage of Uus-Veerenni there will be 1-4-room apartments, in 6-floor buildings on the 1st floors there will also be commercial premises. There is a choice among both small city apartments and large family apartments with a private terrace and lawn. Many apartments will have loggias, and spacious terraces in the apartments of the 1st floor.

Residential buildings have energy class B. Noble materials — brick, glass, steel — are used on the facades of buildings that are easy to maintain and beautiful even after 50 years. The control of the internal climate of the apartments and aisles is possible through automation both on the wall of the apartment and through the Internet.

The buyer of the house in Uus-Veerenni can choose between 7 packages of interior decoration of living rooms, which are combined with each other and allow to find a suitable option for any taste. The sizes of apartments vary between 35 and 118 sq m, and the price per sq m ranges from 2 142 € to 3 255 €. Currently, apartments for sale are priced from 96 900 € (1-room apartment with an area of ​​34,2 sq m on the 1st floor of a residential building at Tiiu street 3) to 337 900 € (4-room apartment with an area of ​​115,3 sq m on the 6th floor of a residential building at Pille street 7/3).
